Esports Market Types at api777

One of the main reasons so many Malaysian esports fans choose api777 is the sheer depth of markets on offer. It goes well beyond "who wins" — there are dozens of ways to put your knowledge of a game or team to work.

The most fundamental market — pick the team you think will win the overall match (BO1, BO3, or BO5). In a Best of 3, you're backing the team that takes two games first. This market is available across all esports titles on api777 and is the ideal starting point for anyone new to esports betting.

For Best of 3 or Best of 5 matches, you can bet on who wins each individual map or game. This is useful when you believe a team has a stronger edge on a specific map, even if they might not take the overall match. This market is especially popular for CS2 and VALORANT, where each map can play out very differently.

For BO3 matches, this market asks you to predict whether the series will end in 2 maps (2-0 for either side) or go the distance to 3 maps (2-1). If you expect a highly competitive series, betting on "Over 2.5 maps" may offer good value at api777.

This market asks you to predict who draws first blood, takes down the first tower, or secures the first major objective in a game. In MLBB, that could mean which team claims the first Lord. In Dota 2, it might be which team takes the first Roshan. Micro markets like these demand a solid understanding of each team's playstyle and tendencies.

When there is a significant skill gap between two teams, api777 offers handicap markets. For example, in a BO3 match, the weaker team may be given a +1.5 game advantage. This means they can lose 1-2 and your bet still wins thanks to the handicap. It creates more balanced odds and better value for both sides.

Esports Betting Tips for Malaysian Players

Betting on esports is a different discipline from traditional sports. The players who succeed are those who combine deep game knowledge with sound bankroll management. Here are some strategies used by experienced bettors on api777:

Stay on Top of the Current Meta

Esports shifts with every patch and game update. A team that thrives in one meta may struggle after the next update. Stay on top of patch notes for MLBB, Dota 2 and CS2 before making your betting decisions.

Check the Player Lineup

If a team takes to the server without several of their key players due to injury or suspension, their performance can drop significantly. Always check the latest roster news before placing a bet on api777.

Head-to-Head Record Analysis

Some teams consistently over- or underperform against specific opponents, even when their overall records look comparable. Head-to-head data can give you a real edge in your betting decisions.

Consider the Match Schedule

A team coming off several intense matches in quick succession may be fatigued. On the other hand, a team with a longer break may be sharper and better rested. Match schedule is an important factor, especially in BO5 series.

Manage Your Bankroll Carefully

Never wager more than 5% of your bankroll on a single esports match. Esports odds are harder to predict than traditional sports, as outcomes can be heavily influenced by unexpected recent patches.

Make the Most of In-Play Betting

In esports, momentum can shift dramatically in a matter of seconds. Players watching matches live on api777 can capitalise on these swings with in-play bets placed at odds that update in real time.

Yes, api777 offers in-play betting for selected esports matches. Odds are updated every few seconds based on how the match is unfolding. For MPL Malaysia, Dota 2 DPC, and ESL Pro League CS2 matches, you can place bets while the action is live – including markets such as next game winner, total kills by a certain minute, and more. This is one of the most popular features among esports fans who watch matches via live streaming.

After registering your api777 account, head to the Deposit section in your account dashboard. Choose your preferred payment method – Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow, or FPX (Maybank2u, CIMB Clicks, RHB Now, Hong Leong Connect, and more). Enter a minimum deposit of RM20 and follow the payment instructions. Funds are credited to your api777 account within seconds, and you can start betting on your favourite esports matches right away.

If an esports match is postponed and resumes within 24 hours, bets already placed will generally remain valid. If the match is cancelled entirely or does not resume within the specified timeframe, all bets on that match will be voided and your stake returned to your api777 account. For matches temporarily paused due to common technical issues such as lag or a team's internet disruption, bets typically remain valid, as these are considered part of the known risks of esports betting under api777's terms.

On top of that, new members receive a 100% welcome bonus of up to RM600, which can be used on esports betting.
